6/18

Lake City has one hell of a race.  The scenery in the San Juan Mountains is amazing.  The course included 13,000ft of climbing over 50 miles.  I quickly decided at the begging of the race that it was going to be more of a hike than a run for me.  I was really worried about my foot after not getting any running in over the last two to three weeks but as the miles kept coming, my foot hung in there and didn't give me any trouble.  During the race, I stuck with my plan of just finishing and not worrying about my time.  It was an awesome day.  I don't think I would of made it the entire distance if it wasn't for a good bit of support from Jen, Ander, and all the amazing volunteers.

After the race, Jen, Ander, Atticus, Cooper  and I decided that  we just were not quite ready to head home just yet, so we are jumping in the car and going up to Park City and then to Jackson Hole/ Yellowstone.  I can't wait to get back and get some running in.  I'm already looking forward to the Speed Goat set for July 30th.
